DRUG AWARENESS EVENING FOR PARENTS
Foroige in association with West Limerick Resources will host a Drug Awareness Evening for Parents on Thursday, December 3 in the Foroige Youth Centre, Market Yard, Newcastle West at 7pm.
Topics will include information on types of drugs available, “Sign and Symptoms” and “Addiction and the Family”. Free of Charge. Refreshments provided. Contact Sandra, Community Based Drugs Worker on 086-0497016

ARTS AND CRAFTS EXHIBITION
The West Limerick Arts and Crafts group will showcase a diverse collection of work produced by local based professional artists and skilled hobbyists at the Rathkeale Arts Centre on Friday December 4th at 7.30pm.
This family friendly event will also feature craft demonstrations and is the first step in the development of a network of arts and crafts enthusiasts. All are welcome.

VOLUNTEER COMPUTER
TUTORS SOUGHT
Volunteers, over 18 years, are required to provide bass email and internet training to over 65’s in the Patrickswell and Newcastle West areas two hours a week over a six week period.
Volunteers do not require any specific qualifications but must have a working knowledge of computers. Training manual will be supplied. Training groups limited to 2-3 people per tutor.

PROGRAMME
The Rural Development Programme, also known as LEADER, is designed to target resources to improve the quality of life in rural areas and the diversification and development of the rural economy.

FREE PRESCHOOL YEAR
All children aged between 3 years three months and four years six months are eligible to avail of the free pre school year in January 2010. Those interested in availing of the scheme must be registered in their preschool before December 18.

CHILDCARE
Rathkeale Community Childcare Ltd., AGM, Croí na nÓg, Rathkeale Community Childcare Ltd., intend to hold their annual AGM in Rathkeale House Hotel on Thursday, November 26 at 8pm. All parents/guardians are more than welcome to attend on the night.

RATHKEALE HSE
HSE are launching an information session on the local Primary Care team for Rathkeale/Askeaton area. Everyone is invited, light refreshments provided, Thursday, November 26 at 7.30pm at Rathkeale Health Centre.
